10th Automotive Football Cup: 60 Teams, One Shared Experience

The leading companies of the Hungarian automotive industry came together for the 10th Automotive Football Cup. However, the jubilee event was not only about the matches: Miell Group also brought several activities that kept players, supporters and accompanying family members entertained throughout the day.

Organised by PromoSport , the 10th Automotive Football Cup took place on 13 September 2026 at the Ikarus BSE Sports Ground in Budapest. A total of 60 automotive teams competed in the tournament, including Miell Quality, a member company of Miell Group.

More Than an Automotive Football Tournament

Since its launch in 2016, the Automotive Football Cup has provided an opportunity for employees of automotive companies to meet outside their usual working environment. Over the past ten years, the tournament has become more than a sporting competition: it is now an important meeting point for Hungary’s automotive community.

Naturally, every team competed for victory on the pitch. At the same time, the event also helped create new professional connections, friendships and shared experiences in a relaxed environment.

The family-friendly programme included an inflatable playground, eurobungee, an interactive road safety school and modern VR simulators, ensuring that there was plenty to enjoy away from the football pitches as well.

Miell Group Brought the Action Beyond the Pitch

For Miell Group, it was important to contribute to the jubilee event with more than just participation in the tournament. We prepared interactive activities that players, supporters and accompanying guests could all enjoy.

During our football quiz, participants could test their sporting knowledge and compete for unique prizes. One of the most popular rewards was a World Cup trophy built from LEGO bricks.

The crossbar challenge put accuracy rather than theoretical knowledge to the test. Job titles and positions did not matter here: everyone took their shot from the same spot and had the opportunity to win exciting prizes.

The challenge attracted plenty of attention throughout the day, accompanied by enthusiastic support, close attempts and a great deal of laughter.

What Made the Jubilee Automotive Football Cup Special?

The 10th Automotive Football Cup celebrated both the history and the continued development of the event. The participation of 60 teams demonstrated how important the tournament has become to Hungary’s automotive community over the past decade.

Miell Group’s activities added another dimension to the programme. The football quiz and crossbar challenge allowed those who were not playing a match to take part in the competition as well. As a result, there was almost always something happening around the Miell stand.

The day successfully combined sporting competition, entertainment and professional networking in a way that felt natural and informal.

A Dramatic Final Decided on Penalties

The final provided a fitting conclusion to the jubilee tournament.

Robert Bosch Power Tool came within seconds of winning the competition, but Apollo Tyres Hungary scored an equaliser in the final moments of the match. Apollo then secured the championship title in the penalty shootout.

Jabil Circuit Hungary finished in third place, while Musashi Hungary Füzesabony took fourth position.

It was a memorable finish to an event filled with close matches, sporting moments and enthusiastic support from the sidelines.

Shared Experiences That Go Beyond the Pitch

The 10th Automotive Football Cup once again demonstrated the power of sport to bring people together. On the pitch, the teams competed against one another. Away from the matches, they met as members of the same industry in a more relaxed and personal environment.

We are proud that Miell Group and Miell Quality could be part of this jubilee event and contribute to its atmosphere through our interactive activities.

Thank you to everyone who played with us, took part in the quiz or accepted the crossbar challenge. We look forward to meeting again at the next Automotive Football Cup.

Until then, watch our video recap and relive some of the best moments from the tournament!
